  1. Weather Lore
    There are many signs of the weather. When the North wind blows there is sure to be snow.
    When the South wind blows there is going to be fine weather, because it blows from the Equator where the copper-coloured men live.
    When the South West wind blows, there is going to be rain, and when the East wind blows there is going to be a storm.
    The cows, horses and every other animal are sleepy, when rain is coming. When the smoke goes up straight out of the chimney, there is going to be fine weather, and when it touches the ground it is going to rain.
    When a blue fog overhangs the mountain,
