    made skibs, he came from Mountrath every Thursday and passed through the Pike on to Ballytarsna all round by Mannin and down by our house and he went from house to house mending boots and making skibs. It is about 14 years ago since he came this way. He was a convert. Two men names Ward and Tuhey of the tinker tribe paid an annual visit to this locality about 60 years ago. Both of them were reputed to coin money. On one occasion Tuhey lost his mould which he used to make his money. A man names Tone Cashin found it. On the following day Tuhey returned in search of his mould secrectly. Cashion knowing what he was looking for told him he had found
