On Saint Patrick's day the Irish people wear a shamrock to honour him. When Saint Patrick was teaching the Irish, that there were three persons in god, they could not understand the mystery, so in order to explain it to them, he showed them the shamrock. For this reason, the Irish people wear a shamrock to honour Saint Patrick.
