    four Evangelists
"There are four corners on my bed
    There are four angels overspread
    Mathew, Mark, Luke and John
God bless this bed that I lie on
If I die before I wake
I pray to God my soul to take."
O Blessed Virgin Queen of Heaven,
Who is so good to me
at my last trial, thou wilt stand by
    To intercede for me,
For fear that I'd be cast away,
Thy dear Son's face to never see
O Blessed Virgin Queen of Heaven,
    Always pray for me.
This prayer was said when people were tempted while the following was said when people were dying.
O Merciful Jesus have mercy on me
Mu soul and my Body I resign unto Thee
Thy Own Sacred Body It was nailed to a Tree
