factory stands to-day a memento to the people of Leinster and espiacally to the people of Leix, where it gave employment to our young boys and girls.
In addition to this factory there was another flour mill called "Mill Brook" it used to manufacture flour. It employed between thirty and forty men. Four horses were employed drawing corn to and flour from this mill. All are abandoned now and these mills are idle.
