- In the year 1895 there was an eviction in the townland of Ballypickas. A man with his wife and four small children were left on the road side. It was a cold day in the month of November.
The Landlord whose name was John King Dooner resided in London. The Sheriff a Mr. Robinson carried out the eviction. The lands were taken over by a Protestant farmer, who lived five miles distant. This man held the lands for thirteen years and employed a Protestant who lived near by to herd those lands.
Then in the year 1907 the evicted tenant came with his family grown up, and drove the cattle off those lands. He took them(continues on next page)- Collector
