A small portion of this well is supposed to have remained in Clonenagh and is now to be seen in a tree there.This well is situated in a triangular plot in Cromogue. It is surrounded by walls, and at one end there is a very neat shrine. In one of the walls there is an opening through which the water can be raised. The well is a large one and is remarked to have never gone dry. Large numbers visit it during every part of the year to pray at it and take away some of the water.There are many legends attached to this well. It is(continues on next page)
