  1. First I get a board for a counter. Then I get two sticks and put them down in the ground and leave the board on it. I get some sugar-bags and fill them with sand for sugar. Then I get some polish-boxes and place them on a high box. This being done I get a pencil and paper. Other children come in pretending they are customers. They ask me for a pound of butter. I give them a stone and say "two shillings please". They give me a handful of stones for money. Another girl calls for sweets I give her a bag of stones and say a penny please". She gives me a small
