  1. On St. Patrick's day people wear shamrock and you are not to take it out of your cloak or hat until it wears away itself.
    On St. Martin's day people kill a cock chicken and we drop some blood at every door, you are not supposed to thrash that day.
    On New Year's day if you cry you will be crying the whole year around.
    On Christmas day you are supposed to stay in your own house and go out nowhere that night.
    On Nov. night you are to have a candle lighting before the Sacred Heart and in the morning if you look at the wick, if it is standing up straight you have a soul saved in Purgatory.
    On Good Friday morning you are to mark the Good Friday eggs for Easter Sunday morning, because on that day we eat a lot of eggs.
    On Easter Saturday we sprinkly all the crops with blessed water, that is with Easter water.
