    (Ghost in the) garden. The Ghost comes in and says to the mother
    "I want a needle."
    "What do you want a needle for"
    "To sew a bag."
    "And what do you want the bag for"
    "To fill it with turf."
    What do you want the turf for"
    "To make a fire."
    "What do you want the fire for"
    "To boil a pot."
    "What do you want the water for"
    "To scald you and all your children."
    When the children hear this they run around the yard crying and shouting.
