    Some years ago there was a man who worked for a farmer.

    (continued from previous page)
    this man put on a white sheet and went to the tomb-stone to frighten the other man. Himself and the ghost were there but he could not see the ghost.
    At last the man was coming from work. The man on the tomb-stone sat there delighted because he was going to frighten the other man. When the workman was passing by he shouted over to them.
    "Oh! there are two of ye their tonight." So the man on the tomb-stone who wanted to frighten him got frighted himself, and ran home as fast as he could.
