from work at nightfall. He went into a shady grove to light his pipe at the Strand. When he had his pipe lit he saw a wee man standing beside him. The man was frightened and looked at the little man. Then the little man disappeared. The man said it was a leipreachan

  2. The leipreachan is about six inches high. He wears a tall hat and a red jacket. He lives under a tree in the middle of a field. It is said if you cut down a tree where the leipreachan is supposed to be he will come around the house. He earns his money by making shoes.
Sometime you might hear "tic-tac tic-tac" well that would be the leipreachan making shoes.
