    the ruins stand. Over the graves of some of them are the following inscriptions. (1) Roger Moore, Priest born 1640 Died Dec 10th 1706, Rev. Gerald Byrne, Parish Priest of Stradbally for 15 years Departed July 24 D 24 aged 57 years also his Nephew Rev William Byrne, P. P. Stradbally Esker for 19 year. Departed 1772 aged 56 years Rev Fr. Edmond O Kelly, who departed this life Feb 13 1775 aged 32 years
    Rev Patrick Kelly, who departed this life March 7th 175- aged 74 years Also Rev. John Kelly - his nephew who dep. - 9th 1793 -32 years.
    Also Rev Francis Kelly, who dep. 7 - 9 - 1784 aged 70 years.
    Rev. William Comeford, a native of the district, died in Carlow College 19 ap 1794
