    he brought some other men with him and dug up the place where he saw the light. After they were gone down some five or six feet they came across a large piece of gold. This they took home with them thinking they were going to have a great time out of the money. That nighte a fairy came to each of them and awoke them and told each of them to take back the gold and put it where they found it. No one has ever attempted to dig it up since and it is supposed to be guarded each night by this black object.
