    They also had many herbs which were of great medicinal importance. "An feithleóg" was used to cure a sting got from and "neanntóh". An fúran was a cure for stomach trouble. An slat óir was a cure for a sick horse. Mint herbage was used to cure colds and doctors still prescribe mint sweets which contain a large amount of "mint" juice for colds. Ivy leaves were used as a cure for corns.
