    house there was a school, the corner stone of which is still to be seen. This old school was later converted into a creamery. Where the power-house stands there was a teacher's residence.
    There was a military Barracks behind St Nathy's College, and a latin School was situated in the square at Feely's. In Castlemore there lived a man named Strickland who was land agent for Lord Dillon. He was owner of an old Flax mill and he had his rent collecting office where the Partride family now live.
