house there was a school, the corner stone of which is still to be seen. This old school was later converted into a creamery. Where the power-house stands there was a teacher's residence.
There was a military Barracks behind St Nathy's College, and a latin School was situated in the square at Feely's. In Castlemore there lived a man named Strickland who was land agent for Lord Dillon.
