  2. A Story
There was once an old castle situated in Castlemore. It was owned by a man whose name was O'Donnell. This castle was very useful to the people because there was a mill there.
The people brought their oats to this old mill to be ground. The man who owned this castle died.
Red Hugh O'Donnell burnt the castle to the ground in order to prevent the English soldiers from getting possession of it. It was situated about a mile from Ballaghaderreen.
