Once upon a time in Drunacu (Drum a-cu) there lived a family which was very rich. They had but one servant who did her work diligently. Every night she used leave a can of cool spring water on the table and she swept the floor and left a "proisteal" (that is roasted potatoes) near the fire for the fairies.
They feasted and drank night after night. They were very thankful to this good girl. One November night they said they would go to another house. Before leaving they took a noggin off the dresser and filled it with gold for the girl.- Collector
