    they used to bake it standing against a support which was called a Bacus. Bread was baked every day. The people made potato bread at Christmas time.

  2. Shops were not common in olden times. Some people went to Dublin to make purchases. Buying and selling was not carried on after mass. Money was not always given for goods but eggs were given for them.
    Labour was not given in exchange for goods.
    It was totally prohibited to transact business on Sundays
