- Sir Ross-Mahon was the landlord of Termonbarry. He was a very cruel man. He lived in this place till his death. He evicted people who paid their rent and took posession of their places. These people went to the poor house. It it were a big farm he would cut it up into small farms and get small houses built on them and charge high rents. Two families in Cloonmore were evicted. They gathered all the people of Cloonmore and had a battle with the landlord in which he was killed. That was about two hundred years ago.
