- Bo-derg is a wide expanse of the River Shannon between Kilmore in County Roscommon, and Annaduff in County Leitrim.There was an annual Regatta held there long ago in the month of August and generally lasted for three days. All the nobility who were interested in yachting gathered there and consequently not so many country people as they had not developed any great interest in boat racing; fishing appealed more to them.
