- In the townland of Donamon on the banks of the River Suck there grows an old elm tree.
Near the root of this tree a pot of gold is supposed to be buried, and it is guarded by a black cat.
The cat never leaves his post except at 11 o'clock each Sunday when he is supposed to go to Church. At a certain part of the Service he leaves and arrives back at the tree in three plunges.
