- Generally in each farmhouse a churn
(one of the principal utensils) is used for the purpose of making butter and this is how it is obtained.
Strict attention to cleanliness is one of the first essentials of successful butter - making. Cleanliness must be observed at every stage from the milking of the cow until the butter is ready for use.
Unless this rule is observed good butter cannot be made in the best equipped dairies.
