    and monastery and when compelled to bid "Good -bye" to this beloved spot of his, he left the place in charge to Naomh Ceitheach. Our school is named after him.
    This graveyard is circular in shape and surrounded by a stone wall. No trace remains of the church but in the graveyard was a tree with the imprint of a human back in it. Tradition says that on occasion St Patrick was pursued by his enemies. He placed his back against this particular tree and remained unseen by his foes.
    Up to a few years ago the tree was standing but was then destroyed by lightning. On the opposite side of the road from the graveyard is a stone
