- The harvest long ago.Long ago when a farmer was going threshing his corn a meiteal of men came helping him. Big stones were brought into the house and every man took a sheaf of wheat and beat the ears on a stone to knock the wheat out of them. When one sheaf was finished another was taken and the same thing done with it. This was carried on until it was all finished. then the corn was gathered and put into bags. When night came they had a dance in the farmer's house.
- The houses of the people long ago.Long ago when there wasn't any slate, the people used straw for a roof. The windows and doors of those houses were very small(continues on next page)
