  2. 5. In the Western side of Reengaroga there is a place called Inane and the old people say that there was a group of houses there long ago. They were burned by an accident and are since called the "Burned Houses". When this happened the people of the island gathered together and built small houses west beyond the wood for those who were left homeless.

  3. 6. To the west of the Burned Houses lived man who was driven out by O'Driscoll who lived in Inane. Another house was built for him by the people. It was built near the wood by the bog. There were five houses there owned by Simon Daly, Denis Driscoll, Patrick Cadogan, James Cadogan
