once knew it was the soldiers and as quickly as he could he dressed himself up as a beggarman and ran out the backdoor and across one field. He then went out on the road and went on walking towards the house again. In the meantime the soldiers had searched the house and were coming towards him going to some other house searching. The never expected him to be the teacher and they gave him alms as he went by.
The teacher had a high bench for himself, and a long low bench for the scholars. The subjects taught were Reading, Writing Mathematics, History and Geography.
There was a good attendance at the school and the scholars made great progress.
