- Buying and Selling
Buying and selling was not practised by the local people in olden times.
Groceries are not, as a rule, bought after mass on Sundays now, but if a person runs short of groceries or other necessaries he buys them after mass.
Money was not at all times given for goods in this locality.
People used to exchange goods for goods and they also used to give cattle instead of money.
Sometimes labour was given in exchange for goods.
People used the word "boot" in buying and selling, "such as give me so much "boot".- Informant
