- I live in the townland of Cuilnakeava in the parish of Tisrara and in the Barony of Athlone. There are five families in the townland. There are about twenty people in it. The most common family name is Coyle. There are four slated houses and one thatched house in it. Cuilnakeva got its name because it was mostly wooded many years ago and there was a cave in the hills. There is one woman over seventy. She can tell stories in English. Her name is Mrs. Simon Coyle, Woodcave.The houses were about three times as numerous at one time. There are a few ruins left. Some of the people who could afford it went to America while others settled in other districts. I know of no saying or song about the townland. Some of the land is hilly but it is good land.
