    an armed rider so he drove fairly fast. Every time that he looked back he saw a few more horsemen.
    When he reached the Cross of Lickbarrahin there were about one hundred horsemen following him. There was a band of men on foot, armed with pikes and pistols joined them. They followed him to the Cross House. Some people say that they were the ghosts of the O Sullivan Beares. It is said that they haunt Cnoc Fuara and Mioscas and all the other hills in the vicinity. Some people have heard the horses galloping along beside them or past them but very few people have seen the riders.
