  2. Long ago when the Coom mine was working there were two men living in Barness named Mike and Jim Murphy. They lived on fishing and four acres of land. They had three goats on the land and they grew oats, wheat, and potatoes. One year they made a lot of money at the fishing and Jim said "We'll buy a boat Mike" "Alright" said Mike "I'll be the captain as I'd be the best." So they bought the boat
