  1. NAOMH MÍCHEÁL
    Church built in his honour in Cill Mhichíl, Dursey Isld. about 7th century presumably by monks from Sceilg Mhichíl.
    Cill Mhichíl was destroyed by Danes - S. Gable still stands was 40' x 20', gable about 20' high.

    Michaelmas Day was great local holiday for years - no work done - pattern held at Cnoc na h-Ulaid, Cloichín - holy well there called Tobraid ( Tobair ) Mhichíl - rounds paid there that day.
    Pattern became a bit " rough " and was discontinued.
    Rounds still paid there. Pattern proper was at a place called Sléibhín
