    The name of the townland in which I live is Cornafulla, the Parish is Drum and the barony is south Athlone. There are about 19 families in the townland and about 120 families.
    The most common name is Nicholson. Nearly all of the houses are slated and it is very few that are thatched. There are plenty of old women living in the townland but they have no knowledge of the Irish language. My grandmother can tell a lot of English stories. Her name is Mrs. P. Keena, Cornafulla, Athlone. Houses are not as numerous now as they were in former times because there were a lot of Landlords at that time.
