    They say that religious people wearing scapulars and so on would float if they fell into the sea.
    There was a man drowned in the North Side (Dun Mánus Bay.) Wm. Downey has his name. twas the way that he was taking rack (wreck). They were looking and poking for the body for days. They sent for Father Desmond who was Parish Priest in Goleen at that time. He went north and they showed him the place where the man was drowned. He picked up three small stones. the second stone he threw in, the body floated up.
