There is another cill in Ardravinna in John Wilcox's ground. Long ago there were people buried there, but now it is not used at all. Once in the famine a man died on the road between John Wilcoxs gate and "croisín na Maoile". Somebody buried him in the patch of ground that is at that cross. Later on the Wilcoxs took him up and buried him in that cill. Unbaptised children were also buried there.
Most of the people around here are buried in Schull. Thate grave yard is about three miles from this school. There is an old ruin there and every corpse is taken around that ruin before it is buried. There is a big hole in that graveyard(continues on next page)- Collector
