    present rod to Schull as far as Cas a' chúinne. From it followed the present old road through Ceapach na Caillighe, and westwards through north Cill Broin óig and Gort na Ceardthan and the Woodlands. It came out on the road near Cúisín mill. Before the construction of the present main road the principal shops of Ballydehob were in Stobhall Hill.
