    in the hand of the seller when they have the bargain made. The animals which are bought are marked with chalk, and sometimes with a stick, and mud. There are not any great fairs now, but long ago the fairs held on the 29th, June, and 15th, August were attended by great numbers who had come for no other reason but for sport.
