  1. (continued from previous page)
There was a certain landlord in the neighbourhood of Ballydehob who was very fond of killing priests. Once while he was drunk he saw a priest going through his land on horse back. The landlord ran to meet him with a revolver, and told him go back. The priest refused, and took a book and prayed. Then he passed on but the landlord stayed there aiming at nothing. When the priest came home the man's servant went to him asking him to remove the spell. The priest went and prayed again and the spell was broken. The landlord went home, and never again injured priests.
