Once there was a merchant who had a lot of business and he paid a watchman to guard his goods by night. One night the watchman dreamt that his master went on a journey next day and was killed. Next morning he told his dream to his master. It happened that he was about to go on a journey and this prevented him, but the people that went instead of him were killed. When Saturday came the master sacked his watchman. Why did he sack him?
Ans., because being a watchman instead of dreaming he should be minding the goods.
A little round and white house and it is full of meat and has no doors or windows to let me in to eat?
    Ans., an egg.
As black as ink as white as snow and hops in the ground like hail-stone?
    Ans., a magpie.
Why does a dog was his tail?
Ans., because he has no one else to wag it for him.
Why does a baker wear a white cap?
