  1. The horse, cow, pony, calf, dog, cat, pig, sheep, hound, hens, ducks are the principal animals on our farm.
    The names of our cows are:- Rose, Polly, Strawberry, Daisy, Blossom, Donnovan, Breachy, Summer, Magpie, Naney, Baldly, Heather, and many others. The words said when driving cows are:- "how! how!"
    The cowhouse is the name of the house where we keep our cows. It is a fairly large house with a slated roof. It is white-washed inside and outside and there are fifteen stalls in it. There are three windows and three doors in it. Kicking cows are tied by the legs with a spancel to keep them quiet while milking. Spancel is the name given to the rope used for tieing the cows. When breachy cows are in a field they are tied by the neck, horn and legs to keep them from going into crops.
    The words used for calling calves are:- "Suk! Suk!" for calling ducks are :- "Feen! Feen!" for calling hens are :- "Tuk! Tuk!" for calling chickens are :- "Chick! Chick!"
    The dogs' names are Shep, and Patsy, and the cat's name is Oney. The horses'
