- From a hill overlooking Corran Lake a woman saw a most beautiful colt on the shore basking in the sunshine. He was the most beautiful one she had ever seen. His legs were white from the knees down, his long foxy tail swept on the ground, he had nice small ears, a white forehead and his beautiful smooth hair sparkled like jewels in the sunshine. After the woman had taken a good look at him she wondered where he had come from for she knew, no one around owned him so she came to the conclusion that he was a fairy colt. The woman then made noise with a bucket and the colt rushed with fleetness of wind to the lake shore, he plunged into the deep and she saw him no more but he has since been seen by many people. There was also a large bull seen about the lake and people say they are gaurding some wealth that is hidden there.
