    journey into Egypt. When the soldiers asked if the Holy Family had come that way the chaffer cried "indé, indé."
    A phrase once very common locally was "The seven deadly sins and the darbhdaol dubh." Here the chaffer is linked up with the seven vices. This shows how much he was hated.
    It is well to mention here that about fifty years ago there lived in this locality a man named George Milna, who had strange powers. The old person giving information in this article actually saw him to kill a chaffer or "darbhdaol" by making the sign of the Cross over him. This Milna was the seventh son of a family.
