To make it take a narrower furrow he "takes from the sainnt."Caldar - A big "caldar" of a stoneDoimhneog - a straw affair for storing grain, circular, about 8 or 9 feet across, and five feet high; is thatched with straw. there is a layer of straw under the grain, and the sides are made of stout súgáns (4 or 5 inches thick) which are placed in position according as the store of grain within rises.
