There is gold buried in Inis Céin parish, somewhere around Teadies, in a place called "Cathairín na Cúnla". The time the cholera was in Ireland an old travelling woman had some cure, and she made a lot of money. It was supposed she collected a firkin of gold. She was going to her own place, and unable to take the firkin with her she buried it at Cathairin na Cúnla intending to send someone for it later.
She got sick soon after going home, and she died. When she was dying she constantly repeated -
    "Cathairín na Cúnla
Where my firkin of gold is"
