In the townland of Burgatai near Rossscarbery, there is a holy well and ruin, called the Teamplain. St. Facthna is the patron St. of Ross. Every year on a certain day, people pay rounds to the St. around the ruins and for each round they tie a rag to a bush to count the rounds. Then the people go down to well, and throw biscuits, bread, etc, to the fishes.
