“About nine miles from Clonakilty there is a place called Courtmacsherry.”
About nine miles from Clonakilty there is a place called Courtmacsherry. It is said long ago a girl was walking along a cliff. She saw some soldiers coming towards her, she jumped off the cliff forty feet high. She jumped on to a grassy plot and the signs of her feet are to be seen on the grass.- Collector
