In olden times it was the landlord of this district had charge of the mill. At that time Mr Lucas was landlord. He sold his farm to a man by the name of Mr Mc Carthy who is living there still.
    There is no trace of the Lucas family in this district at present. Some of them went to Foreign countries. One of them went to England. One of them is married to a man by the name of Perry. They are living in Kinsale.
