    and got back safely.
When Donchadh was being executed he stooped as if to kiss his mother but instead he bit the ear off her and passed into Eternity cursing her.
His mother was a small woman who usually wore a frieze cloak. She taught Donchadh and his two brothers to steal when they were young.
His two brothers Dan and Michael were executed in Gallows Hill almost opposite the Hatters' Lane Bandon Their bodies were found in Kingston's Buildings Bandon and were supposed to be buried there. Other people say that they were buried in the Quakers' Field right behind where they were executed. (1789)
They were born in a small house which was standing up to a few years ago near the Tunnel Gap by Desmonds' Farm at Rockfort or Butlersfort. Their family was McCarthy.
