    on horse-back late one day. He travelled along till he came to what he thought was a pole, or a tree, but it was the top of a chimney. He tied his horse to the chimney, and fell fast asleep on the snow.
    The snow melted very quickly, and next day he was found on the ground and the horse was hanging from the chimney. He wondered very much at what had happened.
    Other stories also indicate how high the snow was, when men fell down chimneys by making a mistake thinking they were holes in the ground.
